Okay, many of you know my obsession with Star Trek. Im eagerly looking forward to Star Trek: Axanar, which is an impressive fanfilm that acts like a prequel to the original series. If you are a real Trekkie and havent seen Prelude To Axanar, then do it! Second best fanfilm series is Phase II, produced, directed, and starred by James Cawley. The acting is terrible at times, but the story lines are right on (better than the JJ Abrams atrocities, in my opinion). Check out this one about the changes to the Klingon Empire. Even features a cameo by Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers)!
