Okay, missionary work is amazing. This is an excerpt from my brothers weekly letter home. He is out serving the Lord on a voluntary 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well: Oddly enough, I am finally starting to realize that I truly am in one of those jungle missions. I have seen my bed covered in hundreds of ants this week, had to traverse a lake that formed in the middle of our town in a rainstorm one day during the downpour, have built up a taste for intestine and beans (occasionally with a sprinkle of protein-filled ants), and [I have] comfortably share[d] my bed with a few geckos and the occasional giant spider.... and awesomely, I sometimes go around to teach while carrying a machete to help clear away the brush so I can reach houses that are made out of dirt, all so that I can share the gospel. How great is my calling. How great is our calling! We are members of this church and it is our duty to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ regardless of the circumstances! I love being a missionary and I know that you can be one, too! All we have to do is invite. :)
