Okay, movie buffs out there...and Im talking old people like me...when I was probably 9 or 10 years old, our elementary school showed a movie in our cafeteria that made everybody cry, even the boys. I have tried off and on my whole life to find the name of this movie, but what I remember is a large family, 6-8 children or more, and parents that died in the beginning of the movie from an illness that seemed to be an epidemic at the time. I believe it was wintertime. The 2 older children, a brother and sister, promised their dying parents that they would find the younger children good homes, and the rest of the movie was basically letting each one go, one at a time. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
