Okay my beloved Santa Barbara peeps. In celebration of Fiestas 90th anniversary, the Historical Museum has a fantastic exhibit up through August. I served as guest curator and writer, but the designers and the contributors (such as Marc Martinezs badge and pin collection) and the museum staff (Curator Dan et al) did an amazing job. This thing is so delicious: costumes, great old photographs... Also there is a booth there in which you step in and record your favorite Fiesta memories to be archived for future generations. You will love love love it. The price is free (but the exhibit is so cool, make a donation and youll feel like a million. ) The Front Desk staff told me last week they think they broke the museum record - more than 100 people came in on one day. ... and it is not even fiesta yet!
