Okay my friends.... I have a problem.... This is Party political but transcends Party politics in many ways. It is my intent to stand for Parliament with Labour for the List. What is more, I will do so as a candidate with a disability. The issue is that List candidates need to raise their own election funds, as it is exceedingly rare for a Labour candidate to just stand for List. Now. I am trying to stand to raise issues of disability and to fight for equality in this area. That is the bit that transcends Party politics, though it is still very political. I need about $50,000 to conduct the campaign I intent to conduct. That is a hell of a lot of cash. As such, I need real help fundraising. I will need a Treasurer to ensure full accountability, as well as ideas to get that funding. Individual donations will be awesome as they are from the heart. Organisation donations are great as we need to all work together on this to get our voice heard. There are many areas that need funding, but this is one that we need to resolve quickly. If successful, I will get into Parliament and can start working from the inside for change. However, I need to get in. Any ideas or suggestions? (Please be clean and reasonable). :-)
