Okay, my gift to you for the holidays...a VERY quick biscuit recipe that is GREAT. Literally took my 5 minutes to get them in the oven. Makes 6 medium biscuits, easily doubled. 1 c AP flour, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Mix dry ingredients. Add cream. Stir with wooden spoon. Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead just a few times. Pat it out to 3/4 thick and cut out biscuits (can also pat out and just cut in triangles). bake in a hot 450 degree oven on a baking sheet with parchment/silpat. 12-15 minutes depending upon the oven. and done! No cutting in butter...no refrigeration, etc. So easy. Taste great. Great for holiday guests. Easy for kids to help with too.
