Okay my mechanically savvy friends... Slimer, my new-to-me 2001 2.0 Automatic GLS NB has been full of headaches! Purchased just before Christmas, turned 75K miles on the way home from the dealer. Check engine light also came home on the trip home from the dealer... assessed as a faulty transmission, which they replaced with a used transmission. Not less than 48 hours later, all of the power steering fluid had leaked out. After another trip to the dealer, they replaced the faulty hose. Now, 3 days after that trip (3 weeks after purchase of the certified used vehicle) the check engine light is back on and reading as a bad speed sensor... BUT - what is concerning me the most is the behavior at idle into first gear. Instead of engaging in first gear and moving from a dead stop it will sometimes just rev up to about 3000 rpm before bucking into gear, and twice on inclines at stops it has actually rolled back! HELP!
