Okay, now for a little historical parking rant... I remember - TopicsExpress

Okay, now for a little historical parking rant... I remember the days when seeing a car bend in a parking spot was an exception and not the rule. And I am talking about large cars, like the Toyota Crown, Royal Saloon, Datsun 280c, etc. Cars sometimes without power steering or other modern day conveniences. Parking a car without power steering in a small spot is like doing an upper body workout in the gym. Now, parking bend is the norm rather than the exception. And today vehicles have power steering, power windows (so you can easily put down your window and see if you are bend), power mirrors (again so you can easily check to see how you are parked), reverse sensors, forward sensors, dash cameras, rear cameras, side cameras... All modern technological conveniences that should allow for drivers to park properly. So why is it that now that with all these drivers aides parking bend is almost like an epidemic? Even putting aside all these advances, whats wrong with checking how you park before you leave your vehicle?
