Okay, our local news just reported that our local National Grid is going to increase our electricity rates by 37% in the upcoming months. Funny, my salary has not been increased by that percentage ever, and cannot remember when it was last increased by even a nominal percentage! How do they think were supposed to sustain this upward trend! I see none of my monthly bills going down, it seems like these companies have to just announce that their rates will increase, and it materializes so quickly! Like the gas companies, they announce the rates at gas pumps will increase, and you go to the gas station the next day and the increase is already in effect. They dont even wait for the next shipment! How are they allowed to do this! We need better government regulation on this, it is out of control!
