Okay, parents of young readers and such: Meg has requested a list of books to read. She has read a GREAT DEAL, including many fantasy series, so dont bother with the obvious: Narnia, Potter, Tamara Pierce, etc etc. Her criteria is: anything but realistic fiction. Mystery, suspense, fantasy, sci-fi. She tried and hated things like Little House books and so on. Shes enjoyed a bit of Dickens and Shakespeare and even a kids Chaucer. She reads at a very advanced level, but content should be appropriate for a good 12-year-old Catholic girl. If youd like to be unfriended, go ahead a suggest Twilight in anything but an ironic/sarcastic fashion. So, any suggestions?
