Okay people lets talk a little about Mondays forecast. I am also sharing a post from a well respected Met that is not affiliated with your TVs. Give it a read. Now with respect to this storm. I talked about I about 2-3 days ago. This storm is coming out of Manitoba Canada. It behaves like an Alberta Clipper but these things dig farther south and can be a lot more powerful. This storm is going to ride down on a cold from already in Montana and dig south. This short wave of energy is pretty strong. So strong it will invert this cold fronts axis and it will be come negatively tilted. This allows for explosive energy in the storms structure to allow this storm to regenerate or Phase into a coastal low. You dont need a negatively tilted trough to get a coastal storm but when you have one watch out! This is what makes historical snow storms!!!!! I will post model predictions in comments. It wont allow me to add this in this share. OUR SNOWFALL PREDICTION MAP This map is based off the European weather model. This will be the worst case scenario. I do not see us with anything less then 6-8 inches. My confidence is at 60% with the European solution tonight. The 06Z run comes out at 1am local time. I will view that and add my thoughts to a new post if needed. DW
