Okay so B1 was diagnosed with severs in the late summer, basically chronic growing feet pains that he will be plagued with until he outgrows it (probably 15 or 16). Then of course he had the achilles prob that we mistakenly thought was the severs and let him play through therefore injuring the achilles and out for two months. In the fall, he was diagnosed with pretty severe eczema only on his legs (shin guard area) that was topped with a diagnosis earlier in the year (about a year ago) of some rare virus that causes him to have little pimple like bumps (only on the legs which okay and good in some ways but how many more things can go on on his poor little legs)?! Anyway, his body is to eventually fight off the virus which it somewhat has (theres been progress with the flair ups) but this eczema is sometimes blistery and the meds cause his skin to bleach and now hes got a huge blister on the other leg where he had a cut but the supposed eczema is not allowing it to heal properly. Ughhhh. When he was 6, he had a weird flair up of blisters on his legs that was never actually diagnosed even after a biopsy was done!! Jeez, what the heck?! This isnt eczema...I think they just dont know what it is!! I feel like however if it doesnt eventually clear up, soccer goes away as the shin guards continuously aggravate the area. Seems like my athlete is continuously tested with one uncomfortable diagnosis after another.....how long will he be able to hang in there before he hangs up his cleats?! #AnAthletesLife
