Okay, so I just returned home after seeing The Fault in our Stars - TopicsExpress

Okay, so I just returned home after seeing The Fault in our Stars and I must say it was quite touching. They say there are infinite numbers between zero and one. 0.1, 0.2, and so on. They also say there is more infinite numbers between 1 and 10, or 1 and 1 million. Though they are infinities, some infinities are simply larger than others. It really shows a realistic view on pain and love. In my opinion, the rest of us shouldnt shed pity on those afflicted, but rather envy them. The amount of love and emotion those people feel and express is unlike any Ive experienced before. The theory in that some infinities can be larger than others comes into play. Its as if their lives were as infinitely long, but rather a smaller infinity than that of our own. This smaller infinity, though giving them a shorter time to live, and time being relative, allows them to experience the same amount of love and feeling in a shorter time; an augmented, catalyzed period of life subjugated by intense loving emotion and expression. It really sheds light on me and brings me to be painfully aware of how much I lack empathy or feeling. I feel I have a heart of stone compared to the couple in this movie. Being that as it may, the quote, Pain demands to be felt, remains true. We should refrain from viewing our lives as an inevitable countdown to death and see it as the infinity that it truly is regardless whether its a bigger or smaller infinity than the persons next to you.
