Okay, so I just want to make sure that everyone is checking their facts out there: The hearing that took place regarding the Ferguson shooting - was not a trial. This hearing does not prove Officer Wilsons innocence in any way at all. The purpose of a grand jury hearing is to decide whether criminal charges will be pursued by that jurisdiction. There are many problems with these hearings, such as (but not limited to): juror selection and function, and possible disregard for due process and constitutional rights. The fact of the matter is, without a trial, and evidence, and testimonies, and proper court proceedings - we will never know if this man is innocent or not. I am not going to speculate either way. But, every questionable death deserves the opportunity of going to trial - and most do go to trial. It doesnt matter the circumstances or opinions of the media or public. Every single life that is lost is worth going to court for closure. Anyone who wants to argue that this boys life is not worth the courts time, because of x reason - please dont comment - just unfriend me instead. I like to think that the people that I know place some sort of value on human life, and that they would want closure if something such as this happened to them. Im sick of all this shit that I am seeing on FB today. Its disgusting.
