Okay, so I was mistaken. Last September was not my last post on this page. But since Bill has shared with lots of you that I had my very last chemo infusion today I guess I should chime in once again to express a sincere thank you to everyone. As I said before, I am taking a daily medication for 5 years, I will continue to be monitored every 3 months and I was told in November that my port has to stay in place for 2 years. That will mean trips to get it flushed out every 6 weeks, but hey, I love driving over to Asheville anyway, especially since they opened up a Trader Joes. God continues to bless me daily and I am so grateful for that. Weve had a wonderful Christmas with our 3 grandchildren and lots of other family and friends. I am trying to continue on a healthy path, although I strayed a bit during the holidays...anyone who knows Opal Cannon or Martha Dye can understand my straying! But I have begun the new year with plans for, the baptism of my newest grandson, an upcoming babysitting gig with the Maryland grandbabies, the leading of a 24 week Bible study at church, and the preliminary discussions for some sort of appropriate observance of our 40th wedding anniversary in June. So heres my take-away from this life experience; I am loved by a gracious God, I am loved by extraordinary people who I am privileged to call family and friends, I live in a wonderful place that daily reminds me of the wonders of creation. And no matter what lies ahead of me, its all going to be okay. Yep, I am one lucky girl.
