Okay, so I watched Pokemon Origins tonight, and I have to say that it really was a let down. Having played the games over and over and over again, not to mention reading the manga, I really felt that the animators and story guys got lazy. The elite 4 was played over way too fast and the Saffron City arc was way too short. Sure Red was a whole lot more of a hero than Ash, but you never really got to see the major character evolving. Its honestly sad to me that there was more time spent elaborating on Cubone than there was on Red and Blues final battle. I understand that animation is hard and that writing a good story and keeping consistent quality is tough, but the series is too short to capture the details of the original games and invoke the emotions that tie fans to the game. That being said, I compliment the guys on fight scene choreography and the animation and effects were top notch, but its way too short and as it is, I would honestly be ashamed to count it as canon. PS: They also skipped the entire Celadon Game Corner Arc. I know the game made it a bit tedious but there was a lot there to elaborate on.
