Okay, so Im a little confused here. So women are taking photos of themselves without makeup on to raise awareness of breast cancer? Okay, so theres nothing wrong per se about the concept but what is it truly going to achieve? Had each picture not come with an explanation as to its reason then I would have just thought loads of women didnt want to use makeup today, perhaps to prove that they neednt always hide behind layers of slap in order to look beautiful. Therefore, the explanation itself is ultimately whats raised the awareness and not the picture. Itd be like all men shaving their hair off to raise awareness of testicular cancer ... ultimately pointless despite being for such a worthy cause. So why, I ask you, dont people DONATE to charity instead ... hand over the cash youd usually spend on your makeup or nails instead of just taking a photo sans makeup? Or am I missing something?
