Okay, so I’ve been very busy at work lately and the only national policy I’ve been following with my usual level of attention has been Aboriginal Affairs…. BUT. On reading these changes… so the press cannot report on ASIO operations; this is now a criminal offense punishable by jail. Is it just me? The first thought that popped into my mind was: so now, all they have to do to completely mask what happens in detention centres or with asylum seekers in general is to involve ASIO in some way, shape or form...
