Okay, so here is the mishap in México city airport that I eluded to in my earlier post... This was my mistake and it almost kept us from being able to continue our trip on to Panama. We arrive at México airport, go through customs, collect all (8) suitcases and head to the Copa airlines check in counter. After getting through the long line, Gina pulls all our papers out so we can get our new seat assignments and boarding passes. Working with the Spanglish we were all using to communicate. Finally told that since we here it is didnt seem to have a ticket showing we were leaving Panama we could not go to Panama... I totally forgot that I was going to try to buy a bus ticket leaving Panama (cheapest proof of our requirement to leave the country) So now even though we originally had a 2 1/2 layover, most had been used up. I had led them an hour to book travel leaving the country and provide proof to the airline to meet check in deadline... Long story shorter... I was literally running through the airport with a printout of $700 tickets getting us back to check in at the last minute.... As you know it all worked out as it need to. Was able to cancel tickets within 24 hrs so we are not out the $700.
