Okay so heres the thing behind that Giraffe riddle nonsense. SPOILERS: I wont be posting the actual riddle itself, because in reading this, Im assuming that you already know what Im talking about. Most people are going to straight up answer with Door. Right? Because thats the first thing that comes to your mind when the riddles question comes up. But apparently the correct answer is your eyes? This doesnt make sense. Im going to go on a whim and draw up a timeline here. The riddle starts that at 3AM, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Then you head downstairs and find out that its your parents, and that theyre here for breakfast. From this statement on, we can already come to the conclusion that by the time youre confronted with the dumb predicament of which thing should I open (the riddles question) /you are already awake/. By already being awake, its immediately assumed that your eyes are /already/ open. Unless youre Daredevil or some kind of Marvel superhero, you cannot, under any circumstance leave your bedroom to discover your parents at your front porch without opening your damn eyes. And who the hell has a conversation with their parents without opening the door? Thats just rude. The correct answer is the door, not your eyes.
