Okay so im totally useless when it comes to writing reports so i will keep it short and sweet. The journey started in Perth WA on a Sunday. We flew out and had a 7 hour stop over at Melbourne airport where we found our self a comfy bar seat and an amazing view of the planes coming and going, we were all very eager to arrive in fiji so all we could talk about was what we planned on doing and what we all wanted to catch. After sitting and drinking for hours we finally boarded the plane bound for Fiji. 5 hours later we touched down in the Nadi airport the day after we flew out of Perth. A 3 hour drive to the Volivoli Beach Resort felt like a 300 hour drive knowing we were only a few hours away from being face to face with some monsters. After finally arriving at the resort we all unpacked all of our gear and got ready for some amazing fishing, while 2/4 of us decided to go for a quick afternoon fish resulting in my first ever GT, mackerel tuna and a good size red bass. If the first day was anything to go by we were all in for one hell on a holiday. The next 6 days of fishing resulted in approximately 20 different species of fish being landed, the lures that did the most damage were the Doctorhook Lures twitch baits and school bullys. Outstanding catches for the trip were a large GT (not 100% sure on weight but estimated around 20-30kg) Yellowfin tuna 18kg caught by Hilton Dogtooth tuna caught by Nick Fiji Darling and Todd Marsh. My gear for the trip included: Saltiga expedition 8000h - ripple fisher ultimo 79h Stella 18000HG - ripple fisher ultimo 79h Stella 6000 - gomoku pe1-3 Jigging master Powerspell PE7 - venom live fibre pe5-10
