Okay, so like many others, Ive got to admit that Ive been lurking around and reading posts from others and know that we find ourselves in the same boat a majority of the time when it comes to riding. For me, Im starting late in showing this year with my guy due to different things but finally will be showing in June for the first time in dressage. Ive taken the past 2 years (almost) getting the best connection with my horse that has only gotten better and everyone who has known him and ridden him says that he is so much happier now since Ive owned him than they have ever seen him. Were starting slow but steadily and working on all this as a team together. Hes happiest only at a select few venues since a bunch of people and horses milling around and a lot of commotion bothers him. This is one of the things that I hope he and I can work on together. The big thing for me though will be staying out of the nerves and remembering the test. Any one have suggestions on being able to remember tests? I know that for some tests you track one direction or the other but still, there is always a lot to remember. This is us below.
