Okay so the announcement... It is a lot to type on my little iPod but I will try to sum it up. As you all knew, I received the job with the public school system. I thought this was a good thing but I was wrong. I did the math and after union fees and pay over holidays/breaks/summer, I would actually be bringing home less money each month as compared to the agency. AND would have double the work and stress load because of having to teach both the AM and the PM class (with VERY little time to complete everything else that would be expected of me). There were a lot of other things that just did not sit well with me at all and made me sick with stress when I really thought in depth about it all. After talking to my mom for over an hour about the details she agreed with me that the agency is an all around better option. Last night after we discussed it and I prayed about it I called my boss from the agency and humbly explained that I made a mistake in resigning and told her that I wanted to be back with my second family if they would have me. She told me that she would call the director of the agency and ask him. He was not available so I had to wait until today to hear the news. She got a hold of him and then called me right away. She said that they will gladly take me back and she was incredibly happy that I called wanting to come back! So... MWVCAA teachers--IM BACK! I will be teaching at Middle Grove and will have a PM class. My assistant and team will be the same as last year and I am overjoyed! This experience has taught me to be thankful for what I have and that more money (or the prospect of it) does not equate less stress or more happiness. I have a wonderful boss, an amazing team and an agency that I love and I am not giving that up anytime soon! See you all at pre-service training in a couple of weeks! Looking forward to another wonderful year!
