Okay, so this is what (a little over) one month spread over December, 14 and January, 15 is going to look like. Mid-December brings a 200-mile run in a tropical winter setting. Come mid-January and I plan to do a 350-miler in the peak of a hot, tropical summer. Then Ill be cooling it off with a 135-mile run in freezing temperatures in January-end. Sure, this is crazy. Sure, fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Sure, I might fail spectacularly. Sure, I might have people sniggering at my cockiness. But then, I tend to follow more, the quote that is attributed to either William Shedd or Grace Hoppern. A ship in a harbour is safe, but this is not what a ship is built for. Im all ready to set sail to the high seas. Whether I cross the seas or whether I drown, January-end will tell.
