Okay, so today I leave the house in better spirits. Then I go scouting for granite and quartz for my kitchen. What the heck was I thinking? Xcuse me, but whats with these big, burly middle-aged store owners (construction guys) who think they have better taste than you? I mean, I know what I want and I ask for it. Then some guy wants to sell me a bright red stone for my walnut/white/grey kitchen with green walls. When I mention my colour scheme, they reply, So what? (Bloody fire engine bright) Red (with mirror flecks) is a lovely colour. Hmmmmmm. Okie dokie, Smokey. Or Sorry, this wont go with your kitchen. In MY kitchen I would go for this one right here... Well, how about that? Lucky for you, Mr. Smartass, its not your kitchen were discussing rightchere. This happens EVERYWHERE. And not to toot my own horn, but my taste is not in question -- although it doesnt matter if I want to live in a clown house. Its MY kitchen, dammit. And dont tell me quartz NEVER gets stained. Its a lie and you know it. I gotz Internets and sometimes, I research (read: hours upon hours). Not sure if I should laugh or cry. On a good note, I did buy the kitchen handles and me luves them lots.
