Okay...so, unlike many, I wont make a pathetic scene of celebrating the death of the former leader of the Westboro Baptist Church. This is not to suggest, in any way, that I agree with their warped and disturbing philosophies, nor of their twisting and misrepresentation of the Word (the Old and New Testaments of the Bible). But celebrating Fred Phelps death would only be a lowering of what I hope is a moral standard Ive tried to live by...as much as possible. No Christian, in his or her right mind, would possibly envy him the review of his unfortunate life, which he has no doubt already faced before the Eternal Throne of God. He has a great deal to answer for, for twisting and egregiously misrepresenting the Word. This does not infer anything about my own personal views or beliefs...those are my own and my own business. But the man, and his followers, have given false testimony to the Word and, as a Christian who believes in the truth, I shudder to think of the eternal judgement awaiting each of them. Perhaps he should have given a listen to the Squirrel Nut Zippers before it was too late. lol And the small band of followers he left behind certainly might benefit from a listen. Heh. Or a careful reading of ol Dante Alighieris famous work Inferno. https://youtube/watch?v=9uiYp8xKjLM
