Okay, the FIRST year was my personal best, as I got to hear 13 out of the 16 bands. while I made the stops with my friend/Turtle Studios, Jay Levin! I think we lost one another somewhere between 12-13? And then the headliner, Trumpeter Sean Jones dedicated Orrins, The Sluice, to the Sista In The Front! (conspired by Howard Pitkow & Jeff Duperon!) And my SITF, Barbara Stange (Trenton Chapter) & BITF, John Dixon, who came from Albuquerque, NM enjoyed our V.I.P. seats!! Year two, Ernest Stuart upped the ante and had 20 Bands, so I got dangerously close to hearing 15 of them, and the headliner WAS Orrin Evans!! And the Sistas In The Front, occupied V.I.P. seating, again!! Well, this year, Ill have the BEST HONOR AND CHALLENGE, because Ill occupy the V.I.P. spot, when I kick off the Festival @ 1pm, upstairs at Fergies Pub! Then, my friend and PJP partner, Mike Kennedy, follows! Soooo...MY challenge is how many bands will I get to hear? Once I change into my flats, I think my personal best is 12!! Yep! What do you think, Jay? Can you handle the workload? Heehee ;) GO Ernest! GO Karina! GO CCJazzFest!!! Oh, and Im still buying a ticket for my friend and fabulous photographer, Tashia Rayon! Shes a huge fan of Vocalist, Joanna Pascale and shes spent many hours trying to transform me into a butterfly, through her photography (and shes not done with me, yet)!
