Okay, the following video and its subsequent videos are sort of an OVA of our Anime Discussion group. These are just me and Ginger talking about one series: Case Closed. The reason for this is because we talk about how we got into the series, what did for us and how it helped us learn so much more about anime (it was THE series that single-handedly got me into anime, so it was a MUST) and it seems like me and Ginger were the only ones to fully get that. Now, I know this is the one of very few times Funimation really screwed up the English side of it and I make that quite clear from the get-go. But I think this holds a special place in my heart. The characters are weird in a realistic setting, but loveable. The crimes, mysteries and mentioning of Sherlock Holmes throughout the series is what kept me coming back for more. Now, while I will admit that there are some aspects that bother me, I also have to admit that most of the series is just so cool. It was a perfect introduction to anime for me. It wasnt too anime, so it was like carefully dipping your toe in a pool to see how the water feels. After watching a heck of a lot more animes over the years and reading their mangas, I will say that Case Closed doesnt really keep up with the biggest and best ones out there. A show like Attack On Titan, for example, still impresses the living shit out of me and has the best music in any anime Ive seen so far! Okay, thats pretty much it, I hope you have fun watching us talk about how passionate we were (and still are) of this series! There are tons of spoilers, so beware. While we will never tell you who the culprit is on episodes with more than one suspect, we do give away a lot of plot devices.
