Okay, the verdict on my new bread recipe is in -- sort of. I tried to slice it last night ... it was not as tight & firm a crumb as the first one (when I messed up on accident). Eddie & I agreed that it would not hold mustard & ham too well. I was sorely disappointed. However, first, I really do need a better bread knife and second, I think it was still too soon. Why? Because this morning, I cut off a couple more slices, and had no problem. Did I merely jump the gun?!? So okay, my fellow bread lovers & connoisseurs! What do you think? Go with it or refine & retest the recipe?
