Okay, this is awesome!! I have a Nikon D3100 (which, honestly, needs to be sent in to get the flash fixed, but still works just fine). And then tomorrow, Im buying ANOTHER Nikon D3100, tripod, lens, and bag for only $200!!!! WHAT? (FYI, the guy Im buying it from I know personally, and set this price just for me). Ill be selling my camera to my second shooter and keeping the more updated one, including helping her send it in for the flash repairs. This way, she finally has a camera and doesnt have to rent one when I need her for shoots, and I have a backup if I need it. THEN, when I get enough money to buy the Nikon D7000 (or the D7100, whichever is more practical at the time), shell be taking the one Im buying right now, and Ill be selling the oldest D3100 to my mom (because she wont take it for free). This is an awesome feeling!! Now, I know most Nikon lenses are interchangeable, especially seeing as theyre both from the DX series. I dont want to be using kit lenses, so... Tell me, what are the two BEST lenses to have for everyday portrait shooting, and a zoom for things like weddings? No nifty fifties please. I will be getting one of those, but I need some range. Gotta be able to zoom in and out at this point. :) Thanks in advance!! Also, please keep in mind that I have a $500 limit at this point. Id like to keep it under that, preferably both $700 together.
