Okay this is just me. I enjoyed this with Italian bread. I had it with lettuce, tomato, onions, and cucumber. So call me wierd! Apple Glazed Sausage and Bacon Apple juice, apple jelly, and maple syrup form a glaze that coats pork sausage and Canadian bacon for a delightful brunch recipe. INGREDIENTS: 10 pork sausage breakfast links 1 lb. cooked kielbasa sausage, cut into 12 slices 1/4 cup apple juice 1/4 cup apple jelly 1/4 cup maple syrup 6-oz. pkg. sliced Canadian bacon PREPARATION: In large skillet, combine sausage links, kielbasa slices and apple juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then cover and cook for 5 minutes. Remove cover and reduce heat to medium low. Continue cooking for 15 minutes, turning sausages frequently. Remove kielbasa slices from skillet. Continue cooking sausage links until browned, about 2 minutes longer. Remove links from skillet and drain off fat, reserving 2 Tbsp. drippings. In reserved drippings, stir apple jelly and syrup. Add Canadian bacon and cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Return kielbasa slices and sausage links to skillet, turning to coat with glaze. Serves 8-10 I am telling you it was good served on the Italian bread!!
