Okay, this is the most up to date info: Dec. 21 will be the indoor portion of the event. RIDE Academy will conduct a big bike school (you ride your own junk, RIDE bikes will be available, check out their web site) Saturday from 8:00am until 3:00pm, at which time the track will be prepped for the first annual TAR HEEL SPEEDWAY WINTER CLASSIC!!! Gates open at 12:00 for racers Registration 2:00 pm Practice 4:00 pm We will start racing ASAP The Saturday location is: CDA&CS Southeastern Farmers Market 1027 U.S. Highway 74 East - Lumberton, North Carolina ncagr.gov/MARKETS/facilities/markets/lumberton/index.htm This is exit 14 on I-95 Dec. 22 will be the outdoor portion of the event. RIDE Academy students will start the day at Tar Heel Speedway (about 30 miles away) We will get RIDE participants on the track as early as possible for a review time and for acclimation to a larger track. Gates and registration open at 10:00am for racers There will be a short worship service at 11:30am Practice 12:00pm Racing will get underway ASAP to keep the day from being too long. The Sunday location will be Tar Heel Speedway 271 Victory Lane Tar Heel, NC 28392 From the north this is exit 49 on I-95 From the south this is exit 31 on I-95 Were gonna make this look as much like a SEMDTRA event as possible... That means if youve been legal at SEMDTRA events youll be legal here. We will run all SEMDTRA classes so there shouldnt be any confusion on what classes to sign up for. Amateur classes will be $25 each with trophy and gift awards RIDE Academy participants will receive one free race entry at each race ($50 dollar value) PRO and PRO/AM pricing is still being worked on as sponsors are still forthcoming.
