Okay, this is the weirdness. Two twelve-year-old girls try to kill another girl because of their obsession with Slenderman, of all things. bbc/news/world-us-canada-27684258 Now, this is one of those crazy things that the obsessed might latch onto, just like anything else. It could be Slenderman, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, the Bible, or whatever. This is one of the reasons why you should keep track of what your kids are doing when theyre online, and explain things like morality and credibility to them. Im part of The SCP Foundation community, having written a few of the articles there because I find it to be a rich world of wonder and horror, and I enjoy the people Ive met there. But theres a minimum age for being on the site, because it deals with mature subject matter. Parents, watch your kids and find out what interests them, and help them grow as people.
