Okay this will be my last post about this topic for now, but I - TopicsExpress

Okay this will be my last post about this topic for now, but I wanted to end with one more recent case, and then say some final words. First the video - https://youtube/watch?v=RjKTnRCpYZM - a report is filled to the cops that a boy is walking around with a gun (clearly stated in the call that they were unaware whether or not it was real but just wanted to call to be sure) and the cops go to the scene and shoot him. No questions, no warning, nothing. They got out of the car and shot him. It turns out he was a 12 year old kid with a fake gun playing in a park. Again, this boy is an African American subject to police social injustice. I am going to put out the hypothetical of it being an intimidating looking, right winged, white male parading around the park with a rifle. If a cop came up and shot this hypothetical white male, the conservative outcry would have been never ending. After all, he was, according to this hypothetical outcry, just practicing his freedom to bear-arms. However with it being an African American child, it seems these right wingers suddenly loose interest. I hear your arguments for such cases, and I understand them, but simply put, they arent incorporating the whole picture. African Americans are subject to police brutality often due to the subconscious fears and suspicions of such an in-group. If a police officer can not make a clear distinction between stereotypes and the suspects of crime, then they are not fit for the job. One needs to be able to have the ability to look at the case/scenario objectively without jumping to conclusions. Otherwise more #crimingwhilewhite and more #dyingwhileblack will continue to see its place in the USA.
