Okay, we really need prayers for wisdom. We have been asked to take a little boy with severe special needs. His age is undetermined, but he looks under age two. He has microcephalus, a severe seizure disorder, cerebral palsy and the after affects of encephalitis. The special needs do not concern us. We are used to dealing with special needs and caring for those who have them. What scares us is how medically fragile he is. After losing two children within six months we are hesitant to give our hearts to another very sick child. We are just not sure we can take losing another little one that we love. However...if we dont take and love this child, who will? Doesnt every child deserve someone who loves them and who would mourn them if they leave? Can we truly refuse a child that needs a home because we are protecting ourselves from potential hurt? Please pray that God will guide us and that we will base our decision on His voice instead of our feelings. Thanks.
