Okay, when it comes to what I said about Robin Williamss death and destigmatizing mental illness, I should probably put my money where my mouth is. If you feel comfortable following suit, I encourage you to. If not, I completely understand why. I have been treated for major depression and for generalized anxiety disorder for the past 6 years. Thanks to treatment and to support from my closest family and friends, I have been able to lead a very fulfilling life while nourishing a career in a very high-stress industry. Im not looking for any sympathy or any accolades, but I am somebody who you know who battles mental illness on a daily basis. If you have any questions, Ill try to answer them based on my experience as best I can. Hopefully you or other friends of yours are willing to do the same.
