Okay you all have seen some posting about a wheelchair race. Its going to happen just cant say dates now. But we are going to try to make this a big event to help Thu Bert (Robbie) and his family and others like us. To that effect I decided to send a message to Steve Chamberlands 50 Legs. Here is a copy of that message. Hi Steve my name is David Nipple and Im a LAKA due to a drunk driver hitting me on my motorcycle. I have a fellow rider from GA, Robbie Pearce that was hit to by somebody that didnt see him or so I was told he is also a LAKA. We are both members of a group on Facebook which is called We Ride Georgia which is part of the We Ride network and this is all over the US and other countries. Its just networking riders across the world. Anyway Im working with my friend Robbie and the state admin of Georgia, Brian Rainwater to set up a wheelchair race. Robbie lives in Griffin, GA. I still have 2 surgeries to go through by the end of the month of January. We are trying to find more people that are in wheelchairs hopefully amputees for the race. Robbie could use some help cause he has 2 children and I was wondering if 50 Legs would like to be part of it and share in the funds this event will bring in. No dates yet but it wont be till April or May. We are going to try to make this a big event so we can draw in a lot of people and riders/bikers and also going to see if we can get some TV coverage. As I mentioned before the prosthetic devices are not cheap and there are a lot of people that need one. Also lets help Robbie and his family. And there are others I know that mean so much to me that (wont mention names) I wish I had the money to help plus all who have been put in this situation of being an amputee.
