Okoi Eduson wrote: TODAY’S AFRICA: THE BASICS I have resisted posting this for a longtime. I am shocked at some people’s ignorance. This is directed mostly to my American friends. The United States will fit into Africa three times, think about it, 3 times. Yeah, it is that huge! Africa is a continent and not a country (the US, Canada and Mexico are countries in North American continent as is Nigeria, Kenya and Morocco in Africa). There are roughly, give and take 54 countries in Africa Most of these countries have states or provinces within them; Nigeria as an example has 36 states and its DC is called Abuja. Yes, EGYPT is in Africa There is wide spread poverty but there are really rich folks too; with mansions, private jets, etc. But the MAJORITY of its people live in houses and not huts Africans wear clothes, have cellphones, drive cars, have television sets, etc. There are major modern cities in Africa, goggle African cities like Johannesburg, Dakar, and Lagos etc. Most of the wildlife is in reserved game parks….they rarely live with people. If you visit Africa, animals won’t eat you alive! Ebola is not all over Africa but in only three countries out of the fifty something countries in Africa
