Okoronkwo Edonbetter Samuel: WHY THE PRESIDENT SHOULD TAKE THE BLAMES I am very sad at what is happening in my country, Nigeria is fast becoming hobessian state where life is short nasty and brutal. Daily we hear news of book haram bombing which kills and injures Nigeria. It is the constitutional duty of the government headed by the president to protect lives and properties. The book haram crisis started as an insurgency, then yar, adua was the president and he dealt decisively with book haram, he was ruthless, he never blamed the opposition. When President Jonathan took over, and the sect came up again, he did not imitate his former boss, rather he started playing the blame games. He blames the opposition, he even said that book haram are in his cabinet and everywhere, now that little sect has grown into a monster. The president and his supporters are still blaming the opposition, yet NO ONE HAS been prosecuted. If they say, buhari, el rufai, atiku is behind Boko haram why are they still walking the streets as freemen while helpless Nigerians die? That should tell you that this government is confused and is playing politics with the lives of Nigerians, he need to be decisive and ruthless. Shake up the military, investigate why our soldiers are still leaving in penury and fight with obsolete guns and equipments while billions is allocated to the defense ministry every year. Nobody is greater than Nigeria, if any prominent Nigerian is supporting book haram, they should be arrested and prosecuted. The president should do something before they start detonating bombs in other parts of the country. He should act as the Commander in chief.
