Olatunde Babatunde Akintola wrote on Harry Iwualas wall: Buhari doesnt hate the Lord God that I serve, it is those who manufacture stories about him that hate God. His commandment is Love, not hatred. We take it further by allowing politicians to cook up falsehood about him because they dont ever want him to break their pot of soup. If anyone can provide a link to a sensible publication where Buhari has condemned Christianity, I will change my stand. All through his tenure, you never saw him with an Alfa or Imam. If he went to Mecca, it was alone. No show off. No pretences. Those who are dividing all of us in the name of religion are turning around to accuse another. I am a Christian and God willing, Buhari will have my vote. Push religion aside, nobody should use it again to pull the wool over our faces. I voted along that line in 2011 and I continue to regret it. Our external reserve, which a habitual profligate OBJ left at almost $50 billion is about 30 now despite the fact that oil revenue soared upward even when Baba Iyabo left. Debts that we were free from have stArted climbing. I read a report this morning about second Niger Bridge and I almost shed tears for Nigeria. My people across the Niger will soon enter a 25 years of servitude due to the bridge which cost should be the highest in the world. At almost 120 billion naira, the bridge has about N1 billion for every 15 metres! And we are too busy talking about religion! Why should we be heading in the direction of failure?! Is it by force? Abati, a once promising critic and conscience of the nation, now pontificate on the altar of failure. He quoted a wikileaks headline on Buhari. The very first paragraph of the report, which acknowledged his sterling qualities were deliberately cut off so his masters would not send him packing. The same wikileaks has plenty of reports on GEJ and his world acclaimed lack of leadership qualities. He never saw that. Wikileaks published the report on his wifes penchant to take the leadership seat. Are we not seeing that? It published her rapacious involvement in a multi million dollar money laundering issue which EFCC continues to be silent about. I am not sure the Buhari team are even interested in all of that, but issues. Why cant PDP talk about issues and leave Nigerians to decide? Why all this jittery stuff? Buhari may not be the best Nigerian for the job, but a lot of Nigerians are ready to trust his honesty than a government that is always afraid of being honest. Crude price is less than $60 today and nobody is talking about reducing fuel price. When it was going up, we quickly heard of subsidy. Why are we not demanding some accountability like in other countries? Why are we just interested in religion as if it is religion that will solve the problems of Nigeria?
