Old School Wetcast down on the Farm I helped a friend wetcast a 12’ x 4’ outdoor table last weekend, striped it this weekend. We cast with an SCC mix right off Trinic’s website (Trinic’s wetcast admix @ 3% loading), the mix flowed beautifully. We ended up with 1 bughole in the surface, not bad for non-vibrated wetcast. The undercut edge detail would have been hard to spray up with GFRC plus the top will never have to be lifted by hand so the 800 lb weight is no big deal. The top only needed a hand wet sanding with 300 grit paper, just enough to take off the melamine texture. We applied a light diluted coat of Trinic’s Stamp Shield, sanded well, then one more coat and done (the same day as wet sanding). I think of the first coat as almost a primer coat setting the top up for the finale coat. Mark Celebuski
