Old Xaverian Woody tops the charts! - Edward Pitney, (OX 2009) now a folk/pop singer/songwriter under the name Woody has recently signed a worldwide record deal with Universal Music, Germany, after his song, You Can Stay was used in a major German advertising campaign. This song made it to the top of the iTunes charts in several countries; including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. He is one of the only Australians to have ever been signed to a major record label through Germany, and has achieved the feat after independently releasing a recent EP/Album which was recorded in his bedroom in Kew. As well as numerous, recent performances around Europe, Woody recently performed at the biggest music festival in The Philippines on the main stage.
