Old school hard work will always be better than fast paced, non-teaching of fundamentals. But what is the alternative? There are no old school tourneys for neighbhorhood kids to play in whether it be the city or suburbs. In addition to that, there are coaches that can only run plays and are unable to teach fundamentals because they dont know themselves, and there are those that control gyms that dont allow kids to come and work on their skills whether it is a weekend camp or community summer camp that does not cost an arm and a leg to join. I would do it for free if I could get a gym.
