Olio So, a lute player can be either a lutist or a lutenist. I wouldnt think there were enough of them to require two labels. TLWs Korean lilac is blooming and you can smell it everywhere around the old homestead. Trip off the mountain this afternoon and it was one of those rare days when the weather was better here than in Petersburg, at least until in the evening. The Rog and I had two goals, to check on Seemly and catch some of Jerry Burkes fish. Grant County doesnt have towns to spare so it seems downright careless to just lose places like Seymourville and Seemly. I am pretty sure we left Seemly in the care of Beverly Tompkins, but it appears to have vanished. We had better luck at Burkes crik. It was high and a little off color and I decided to fish streamers which is a challenge. Imagine a bathtub tilted at about fifteen degrees with a multi flora rose bush over it and you get the idea. I moved lots of fish, but in most cases line control and setting the hook is impossible. I managed to land two while The Rog, once again, out fished me using drys. If Grant County has nothing named for Larkin Ours other than the dinky bridge in front of his old house, they really should correct that. Leaving Petersburg, I saw Icky drive down the street with a little dog leaning out the drivers side window. Ick was supporting the dog with his left hand. This looked dangerous for all concerned. It would be safer if he made a harness and hung the dog from the side mirror. There was a buzzard sitting on a big rock overlooking a curve in Maysville Gap.
