Listen, when it is clear that facts are being omitted in an incident, those in charge of informing the public have no right to be surprised when people MSU ( make stuff up ) . When gaps exist in your understanding your mind fills in the blanks with any available information. Area 51 is a perfect example. Yes, unless you are a Sherlock Holmes, what your mind makes up is likely wrong, and the only real remedy is for someone to level with you.
