Olympic Rings and The Great Seal Pierre de Coubertin, - TopicsExpress

Olympic Rings and The Great Seal Pierre de Coubertin, considered the father of modern Olympics, likely got the idea of interlocking rings from his friend who was a priest credited with the three-word Olympic motto and familiar with the Christian symbol of three interlocking rings: known as Borromean Rings. Borromean Rings were a early Christian symbol, as was the triangle formed by the center points of the three rings. The triangle enclosing the eye on the Great Seal identifies the eye (America’s official deity) as the Triune God of the Nicene Creed: the Father, Son and Spirit. Take another look at the Great Seal.
