Olympic silver medallist Emily Seebohm has qualified second and team mate Maddi Wilson seventh into tonights semi-finals of the 100m backstroke in Doha. Seebohm controlled her heat to record a comfortable win in 56.59 with Wilson in hot pursuit in second in 57.48. Hungarian super swimmer Katinka Hosszu broke the Championship record to win the final heat and record the fastest time of the morning, 55.70 - taking 0.38 off American Natalie Coughlins 2010 time of 56.08 set in Dubai. Earlier fellow Queenslander Jake Packard scraped into the semi-finals of the 100m breaststroke in 16th place in 58.25, just behind New Zealands Glenn Snyders (58.23). Im lucky to get another chance, said a relieved Packard, who made his international debut at this years Pan Pacs on the Gold Coast.
