Om Sai - Invitation to Shirdi Sai Babas Punyatithi, 02nd & 03rd Oct, 2014 - Baba Malik! Om Sai Ram, Dear Sai devotees, As you all must be aware that on the 03rd of October, 2014 is Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra. Dussehra can also be interpreted as Dasa-Hara, which means the cutting of the ten heads of Ravana. Dussehra is the tenth day after Navratri. It marks the end of the nine days of Navratri. For Sai devotees, it is venerated as the holy day that their beloved Gurudeva (Saibaba) attained Mahasamadhi (also known as Punyatithi) and is a big festival in Shirdi. Shital by Baba’s grace will endeavour to follow Babas Punyatithi as closely to Shirdi as possible, and would urge your active participation during the Festival. Babas Punyatithi will start on Thursday 02nd Oct and finish on Friday 03rd Oct. The temple will remain open from 8am on Thursday 02nd Oct right through to 11pm on Friday 03rd Oct.
