Oman Cricker to host Level ‘0’ course on umpiring Muscat: Oman Cricket (OC) will organise a Level 0 course for umpires from March 15 to 20. According to an OC statement, the course received good response from aspiring umpires and it will based on the MCC Laws effective. The course will be conducted by A. R. Srinivasan, a senior umpire with Oman Cricket and an ACC Accredited Umpire Educator in Oman. Srinivasan has also officiated in over 50 matches organised by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC). Aspiring umpires who attend the course and pass the written exam will be called upon to officiate in the Oman Cricket tournaments for the season 2014-15 and they will be eligible to attend the Level 1 course to be conducted by Asian Cricket Council later this year. The course will be held at the Al Qamar Hall, Al Falaj Hotel. The last date for registration for the course, open for both genders, is March 12.
