Omar Abdullah fumes as BJP- PDP negotiate AFSPA revocation SRINAGAR, JAN 05:---The former chief minister Omar Abdullah Monday took dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for negotiating government formation with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has termed revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) as one of their pre- conditions to alliance formation. So when I raised AFSPA I was accused of playing politics with Nat Sec (national security). BJP negotiates Govt (government) formation with @jkpdp using AFSPA & thats OK?? Omar wrote on micro- blogging site Twitter. Omar also fired salvos at the arch rivals PDP for its claim that a coalition with the BJP is a must for getting the special package for the flood-hit victims. We are being told by the @jkpdp that the tie up with BJP is necessary for the 44,000 Cr flood relief. Shouldnt a state just get its due? Omar said. The reactions came amid growing speculations that PDP might stitch up an alliance with the BJP to form the next coalition government. The BJP core group Monday met party president Amit Shah to discuss the way forward to end the impasse over the government formation in Kashmir.
